If you’re in the market for an affordable Brooklyn studio, consider this 575-square-foot Kensington co-op apartment, 415 Ocean Pkwy., #1D. Listed for $295,000, the unit has a windowed, eat-in kitchen; a sleeping area that accommodates a queen-sized bed; CitiQuiet windows; and prewar details, including coved ceilings and hardwood floors.

There's not enough inventory on the market to determine a median price for studios. The median asking price for one bedrooms is $403,000, according to StreetEasy.

Open the front door into a small foyer, where one of the apartment’s two closets is located. (The other is just outside the bathroom.)

The rustic, yet modern-looking kitchen, is a sunny space with stainless steel appliances (including a dishwasher), white walls, wood floors, and cream-colored cabinets and countertops. There’s room for a small table with a trio of chairs, and a good amount of open shelving where you can store especially nice dishes, fun gadgets, or anything else you’d like to display.

To the right of the kitchen is the corner living room with south- and east-facing exposures, white walls, a ceiling fan, built-in shelves for your knickknacks, wood floors (that are different from the ones in the kitchen), and room for a seating area.

Step through a set of French doors to get to the sleeping area. It’s not a legal bedroom—it lacks a window—but it’s large enough to accommodate a queen-sized bed and a pair of narrow bookcases.

The windowed bathroom isn’t pictured, which might mean that it needs some work.

The studio is located in a pet-friendly, six-story Art Deco co-op building with an elevator, a live-in super, on-site laundry, and a bike room. Maintenance is $785 a month. The Q and F trains are both within walking distance.
