This house in Colts Neck sits on nearly four acres and is about 20 minutes from Asbury Park.

This historic house in Monmouth County, New Jersey needs some TLC but if you've got the desire to shine up a gem, this could be it. 180 Heyers Hill Rd. is a nearly four-acre parcel with a house built in 1850, a guest house, a two-story barn, and a three-car garage. It all could be yours for $614,900.

Located just 60 miles from New York City, Colts Neck is home to a many horse farms, including one owned by Mr. New Jersey himself, Bruce Springsteen. It's also convenient to the Jersey Shore, with Asbury Park about 20 minutes away.

The main house has four bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, and a fireplace.

The wood floors look newly sanded and polished, and the mantels are impressive. We don't love the wall color, but it could easily be done over. Some of the window frames are in need of sanding and painting.

There's a wood stove to help keep the chill off (don't worry, there are also radiators).

The cupboards are a bit outdated but still have some charm. The blue tiles add a nice pop of color.

The two-story guesthouse, which has seen better days, is right next to the in-ground pool. It has a full kitchen.

The property is expansive, and it too looks like it could use some taming. No question, the buyer would have to be someone who loves a project. In turn, the possibilities are a lot grander than with a Manhattan studio.
