62 new affordable housing units are now available in the Bronx

62 apartments at 2264 Morris Ave. in the Bronx are available in the affordable housing lottery.

NYC Housing Preservation and Development

Applications are now open for 62 units of affordable housing in a brand-new development in the vicinity of Fordham University in the Bronx, according to a new listing on NYC Housing Connect.

The building, at 2264 Morris Ave., is centrally located with both 4, B and D trains just blocks away. The building features many amenities including laundry in the building, an on-site superintendent, "sleek modern kitchens and baths," hardwood floors and parking for an additional fee. 

A percentage of units are set aside for the disabled and municipal employees, with 50 percent allocated for residents of Community Board 5 in the Bronx. You can see the full list of apartment sizes, prices, and income requirements below:

If you're interested, create a profile and apply online via NYC Housing Connect, or request a paper application by mailing a self-addressed envelope to 2264 Morris Avenue: c/o Bronx Pro Group, 1605 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Bronx, NY 10453. (Don't send in more than one application, or you could be disqualified altogether.)
