HDFC co-op apartments hosting open houses this weekend

Though they're grappling with possible changes that could affect the way they're run, HDFCs—aka affordable co-ops offered through the Housing Development Fund Corporation program, hence the acronym—remain one of the best ways to own property in this increasingly expensive city for low- to middle-income earners. 307 West 153rd Street, Apartment 4-19. No interior pics are available, so you'll have to see for yourself what the space is like in this 650-square-foot two-bedroom, one-bath. Cash only. Asking price: $160,000. Open house: Sunday, January 15, 3 pm to 4:30 pm.
