An adorable Jersey Shore house that's steps from the beach (and very un-Snooki)

Located just six cottages from the beach, this cute and cheerful $595,000 three-bedroom, one-bath house in Ship Bottom, New Jersey is only about 1,300 square feet, but the fact that it's so close to the ocean makes it well worth its somewhat modest price tag.

The living room has a wood-burning fireplace, hardwood floors and exposed beams. An adjacent enclosed porch offers more room to spread out.

And the private backyard has mature trees (good for shade on a sunny day), plus there's an outdoor shower, too. There's also off-street parking for at least three cars. A detached garage and shed offers space for beach and boating accessories (which we can only imagine you'd have a lot of if you bought this place).

Inside, there's ductless air conditioning and a washer-dryer.

Ship Bottom is one of several small shore towns that make up Long Beach Island. The 18-mile island is quaint, and far from more "Jersey Shore"-esque parts of the Jersey Shore, with cute restaurants, shops and decent surf spots.
