Are you looking for a place to take a last-minute summer vacation? Long Island’s North Fork is a low-key, more affordable alternative to the Hamptons where you’ll find beaches, vineyards, and farm stands offering fresh-picked produce.

Even though summer is underway, you can still find vacation rentals here, especially if you’re flexible with location and dates. There are houses with availability as soon as next week and through Labor Day. Most places come with outdoor amenities like backyards, outdoor games, patios, decks, grills, and pools.

If you aren’t familiar with the area, some popular spots with available rentals include Mattituck, where you’ll find Love Lane, known for its stores and restaurants; East Marion, home to Truman’s Beach and Lavender by the Bay; Orient, where you can visit Orient Beach State Park; and Cutchogue; home to vineyards like Borghese Vineyard & Winery and Pellegrini Vineyard.

So to help with your last-minute vacation plans, here are five rentals on the North Fork with availability this summer.
