If you’re planning a last-minute summer getaway and are finding that many vacation rentals are booked for the season, check out the Jersey Shore. If you’re flexible with location and dates, there is some availability through Labor Day.

The quintessential summer destination has lots to offer, you just have to pick your town: There’s Asbury Park, known for its boardwalk and music venues; Seaside Heights, which some consider party central (and where "Jersey Shore" was filmed); Point Pleasant Beach, where you’ll find Jenkinson’s Aquarium; and Spring Lake, known for its Victorian homes and the longest non-commercial boardwalk in the state.

Most towns here offer what you might expect from a beach town like public beaches, boardwalks, amusement parks, and locally-owned seafood restaurants. It’s also more affordable to rent a place here compared to other popular beach destinations like the Hamptons, and you’re still a quick ride from New York City.

To help with your last-minute vacation plans, here are five rentals with availability this summer in Sea Bright, Long Beach Island, Seaside Heights, Spring Lake, and Point Pleasant Beach.
