5 open houses to check out this weekend in Astoria and Long Island City

This week we compared the northwest Queens neighborhood of Astoria and Long Island City, both of which offer quick access to Manhattan and abundant dining and entertainment options. And though the area is attracting a lot of attention these days—especially with the looming L train shut down encouraging Brooklynites to look northward—there are still pockets of relative affordability.

Here's a selection of one, two, and three bedroom co-ops and condos, all listed for under $1 million, and all having open houses this weekend.
