Need some help around the apartment or an expert's opinion on your DIY job? Finally, there's an app for that. Fountain, which we learned about via Refinery29, might just be our favorite new home hack. It's like a personalized version of Siri or Google, specifically designed to help you around the house.
The recently renovated kitchen area is the highlight of this 1.5-bedroom Carroll Gardens walk-up, available for $2,300 a month. Its location in a neighborhood that encapsulates Brownstone Brooklyn (and is so full of great restaurants you might never use said kitchen) is another draw. However, pets aren't allowed, and the apartment is almost half a mile from the less-than-convenient F and G trains, and a full mile from the 2, 3, 4 and 5.
If you can't afford an apartment at One57 (where the cheapest condo available is a three-bedroom for $5 million), you might want to consider this much more reasonably priced co-op studio, with a $330,000 price tag. It's located at 57th and Sixth, half a block down "Billionaire's Row" from the tower, and next door to Carnegie Hall.
