UPPER EAST SIDE: A three-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bath duplex with a wood-burning fireplace for $4,800 a month.

Although it doesn’t quite feel like it yet, winter is, indeed, coming, and it’ll bring with it the desire to curl up with a good book and a cup of tea in front of a roaring fire.

Here are 10 apartments across New York City—all renting for under $5,000 a month—that have fireplaces on the premises. Even if you don't plan to—or can't—actually build a fire in them, they sure are pretty.

UPPER EAST SIDE: A three-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bath duplex at 1465 3rd Ave., between East 82nd and 83rd streets, (shown staged at top) with a wall of windows, a marble wood-burning fireplace and a granite kitchen with stainless steel appliances. GREENWICH VILLAGE: A corner one bedroom, one bath at 51 Fifth Ave., between East 11th and East 12th streets, with prewar details, including original oak wood floors and moldings.
