As of last Friday, the lottery is open for affordable rentals in 225 East 39th Street, a large new building underway in Murray Hill. (Per the developer's website, the project is slated to be finished in winter 2017.)

According to the listing on NYC Housing Connect, there are 75 affordable rentals available in the 372-unit building, ranging from studios to three-bedrooms. The full list of apartment availabilities, sizes, prices, and income requirements can be found below:

According to the listing, the building will have plenty of amenities, including a 24-attended lobby; a second-floor terrace that will have a children's play area, plus a lawn, fire pit, "game lounge," and, for an extra fee, a "Sky Terrace" on the 35th floor, a fitness center, indoor pool, sauna, whirpools, bike storage, and laundry.

As per usual with this type of development, preference for half of these apartments will be given to current neighborhood residents (in this case Manhattan's Community Board 6).

If you're interested and think you qualify, you can make a profile and apply online via NYC Housing Connect, or request a paper application by mailing a self-addressed envelope to East 39th Street Apartments, 1357 Broadway, Box 309, New York, NY 10018. The deadline to submit your application is September 27th.
