Apply to rent in a brand-new DUMBO building for as low as $895/month
Applications are now open for affordable rentals at 181 Front Street, a new construction luxury rental building in DUMBO, according to a new listing posted on NYC Housing Connect. The apartments are a mix of one-bedrooms, two-bedrooms, and a single three-bedroom ranging from $895 to $1,247/month; they're available to renters with annual household incomes between $32,057 and $63,060, depending on apartment and family size.

YIMBY has reported that the building itself is planned as a luxury complex, and according to the listing, amenities will include a gym, 24-hour doorman, roof deck, laundry and storage facilities (plus for an extra fee, parking). As usual for this type of affordable housing lottery, preference for half of the apartments will go to current neighborhood residents, which in this case means residents of Brooklyn's Community Board 2.
If you're interested and want to apply, you can create a profile and apply online via NYC Housing Connect, or request a paper application by mailing a self-addressed envelope to 181 FRONT STREET c/o St. Nicks Alliance, 260 Powers Street, Brooklyn, NY 11211. (Don't do both, however, as multiple applications can disqualify you from the running.)
Applications are due May 1st.
