Apply to rent a Chelsea apartment for as little as $702 a month

The apartments are in a new building between Ninth and 10th avenues.

Applications are open for 159 newly constructed apartments at 425 West 18th St., in Chelsea, through the city housing lottery.

The apartments are studios, one, and two bedrooms set aside for people in multiple income brackets spanning $26,400-$185,955 for one to five people. Rents start at $702 a month, for a studio. Thirty-two of the apartments are for households earning 50 percent of the area median income. The remaining units are for those earning 100, 160, and 165 percent of the area median income.

The building will be on the grounds of NYCHA’s Robert Fulton Houses between Ninth and 10th avenues. Amenities listed include a laundry room, rooftop, first-floor outdoor space, and bicycle storage.

The nearest subway station is at Eighth Avenue and West 14th Street for the A, C, E, and L trains. The High Line is about two blocks west. Chelsea Market is two blocks south. The neighborhood teems with retail, bars, and restaurants.
