U.S. cities with the most extreme studio rent increases still no match for high cost of living in NYC

A new report from Apartment Guide looks at 100 cities around the U.S. with the most extreme studio rent increases and decreases. Two cities in Texas topped both lists: Arlington saw a 40.6 percent year-over-year increase in rents for studios, for an average of $877. Corpus Christi saw the steepest decline in studio apartment rents: A 15.9 percent decrease since last year—but rents are still way below what you would see in NYC, where the average studio listed there is just $824.

A new report released by Localize.city looked at noise complaints and identified the top 10 hotels in the five boroughs that are keeping New Yorkers up. Many of these hotels have rooftop bars and lounges where guests can party until 4 a.m.
