Cuomo extends eviction ban and says tenants can use security deposit as rent

Governor Cuomo said the moratorium on residential and commercial evictions is now in place through Aug. 20th. In addition, late fees for missed payments are now also banned during the moratorium. Tenants now have the option to use their security deposits as payment and repay them over time.
