Airbnb-ers are apparently going gaga over a taxi parked in Long Island City that can be rented by the night, but those who much prefer a regular housing setup—and are looking to buy—will find plenty of properties to check out in the neighborhood this weekend. Here, a sampling of open houses in LIC:

4-74 48th Avenue, Apartment 37D. Junior-fours can potentially be converted into two-bedrooms, and this one's no exception. The hardwood floor's been refinished, and the kitchen updated with new appliances. Asking price: $655,000. Open house: Sunday, September 18, 11 am to 12:30 pm.

5-43 48th Avenue, Apartment 4C. This 1009-square-foot, two-bedroom, two-bath in an eco-friendly building has its own private terrace. Asking price: $1.35 million. Open house: Sunday, September 18, 12 noon to 1 pm.
