Manhattan co-op and condo sales reached a record-high in the third quarter and if you’re one of the many New Yorkers looking to buy an apartment now, you have probably already been pounding the pavement.

That’s because open houses are happening again—and they’re crowded. Right now most open houses are appointment-only, but there are some that don’t require them. To confirm, you can find open house details in the apartment listing.

You can get a lot of preliminary intel via a 3D or virtual tour, but you will still want to check out your top choices in person. You will get a better feel for an apartment's layout, see how much natural light the place gets, how noisy it is, and what the vibe of the building is like. (Here’s an open-house checklist if you need more help on what to look out for.)

To help with your apartment search, here are five apartments for sale in Manhattan around $1,000,000 with upcoming open houses.
