A Morningside Heights two-bedroom on the park for less than $700,000 (yes, you read that right)

Located at the northwestern tip of Morningside Heights, this $689,000 two-bedroom, two-bathroom at Riverside Drive and 124th Street is steps from Riverside Park, which may not get as much attention as its fellow Upper West Side-area Central Park, but is still plenty beloved by locals.

Plus, try and find a two-bedroom for under $700,000 near Central Park.

The galley kitchen here, shown above, is large enough to fit a small table, although the living room area is also spacious enough for a dining room table (hey, more places to eat are always good in our books!). While one bedroom is larger than the other, both seem to have plenty of space for a queen-sized bed and more.

The apartment allows pets, sublets, and co-buying, and it's in a co-op building with a rooftop community garden, a gym, and a storage and bike room. Maintenance, at $1,285, is relatively low.  We're thinking that for a member of the Columbia University universe, this is something of a steal.
