In this new feature, we pick out properties for you to check out on open-house weekends. First stop: Brooklyn's Bedford Stuyvesant neighborhood, where the hunt is on for a house.

As we mentioned last week, Bed-Stuy prices, especially for townhouses, may be stabilizing enough for regular buyers, and not just investors, to dip their toes again into the market. Our picks for your weekend itinerary:

861 Herkimer Street. This three-story, two-unit brick townhouse has been renovated and is near the A/C lines. Asking price: $995,000. Open house hours: Sunday, 3/15, 11:30am — 12:30pm.

720 Jefferson Avenue. A house with two units, one a triplex plus a basement, the other a two-bedroom, both with washer and dryer units and some upgrades. Asking price: $989,000. Open house hours: Sunday, 3/15, 12:00-1:00pm.

65 Van Buren Street. This two-family has undergone a renovation, so no more construction headaches. It has a driveway so no parking headaches, either, at least for whomever gets the spot. Asking price: $1.299 million. Open house hours: Saturday, 3/14, 1:00—3:00pm. Sunday, 3/15, 1:00—3:00pm.

494A Quincy Street. Just a quick walk away from 563A, this renovated three-family brownstone is near Herbert Von King Park. Live in one unit and rent the rest out. Asking price: $1.649 million. Open house hours: Sunday, 3/15, 1:30—2:30pm.
