You may never be able to have your dream job writing headlines for the New York Post, but you can live in the newspaper's former headquarters at 75 West Street, on the border of the Financial District and Battery Park City. Skyline Developers is offering seven units, ranging from a 746-square-foot one-bedroom for $2,750 to a 1,104-square-foot one bedroom plus home office for $3,600. While not high end, the kitchens and bathrooms have been updated. Apartments have high ceilings, central air conditioning, and many have walk-in closets. The building is full-service, with a fitness center, rooftop terrace, and allows pets.

Some of the apartments seem relatively dark, a common issue in residential buildings that were formerly commercial. A major advantage here, however, is transportation. Numerous subway lines are within one to four blocks of the building.

No-Fee Building of the Week is writer A. Ready's weekly independent selection of a no-fee rental building that she believes reflects good value given current market conditions. It is not an advertisement for the building, nor is it paid for by any company/website mentioned.
