This L.A. house's rent is on par with Brooklyn, but are you getting much more for your money?

It would be hard to find a house like this in Brooklyn.

We've been in an L.A. state of mind here on Brick lately. And as we daydream about a potential (albeit unlikely) move out west, we wanted to see just what the average price of a Brooklyn three-bedroom ($4,213) would get us in LaLa land.

According to the most recent Douglas Elliman market report, the average Brooklyn three-bedroom is just over $4,213 a month and the median price is $3,532, so this three-bedroom, two-bath house in the Miracle Mile neighborhood of L.A. is right in between, at $3,900 a month.

The neighborhood, which is home to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) the Craft and Folk Art Museum, the Page Museum at the La Brea Tar Pits, and the Architecture and Design Museum, is known as L.A.'s museum row (see, there is culture in L.A.!). It's a densely populated area that's also fairly affluent.

This property is a two-story Mediterranean-style townhouse with a new gourmet kitchen (with stainless appliances), wood flooring, two bedrooms upstairs and a bedroom downstairs, and a large rooftop deck off one of the upstairs bedrooms.

There's a fireplace in the living room, central air, and a washer and dryer hookup. There's also a small backyard.

One garage is available on a separate contract, as per the listing.

So, what do you say? Tempted? We might be.
