In a city of millions of people and small apartments, finding a spot to spend time with your Valentine can be a bit of a challenge. Not so if you have one of these “sexy” bedrooms—defined for our purposes as a a space large enough for two, offering a degree of privacy and, perhaps, a little something extra to set an appropriately amorous ambiance.

Dark walls lend the master bedroom of this four-story, three-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bath penthouse loft at 14 East 4th Street (on the market for $7.5 million) a certain level of sex appeal.

Sometimes all a bedroom needs to be considered “sexy” is room for an oversized bed, such as this master in a 4,000 square foot loft at 47 Mercer Street (yours for $8 million). An en-suite bath—accessible via a sliding wall that joins the two spaces—just increases the potential hook-up location options within the home.

For romance to bloom, you need a little privacy. The third floor of this six-story townhouse at 337 West 87th Street (on the market for $12.995 million) is entirely devoted to a master suite featuring a massive bedroom with a fireplace and a sitting area and an equally gigantic marble bathroom with a walk-in shower, including twin shower heads, plus a soaking tub for two.

For those who want to safely indulge their inner exhibitionist, this duplex penthouse at 285 Lafayette (listed at 11.7 million) has a private master floor that’s open to the living room below and surrounded on three sides by windows offering views of downtown and beyond—yet conveniently out of range of peeping neighbors.
