Biking is soaring in popularity during the Covid era as New Yorkers seek alternative commuting options and ways to exercise while gyms remain closed. Many bike brands and models are nearly impossible to buy right now and have long wait lists. 

When you finally get the bike you want, your next issue will likely be figuring out where to store it. Fortunately, there are apartments in rental buildings with bike storage rooms available now. There are also rentals in co-op and condo buildings with bike rooms, but keep in mind that when you rent here you likely need board approval and some buildings limit how long owners can rent out their apartments.

Many buildings with bike storage rooms also have other amenities like laundry rooms, extra storage, and outdoor space—all especially desirable now in the Covid era.
