Applications are now open for 10 affordable units at 66 Ainslie Street, a new Williamsburg rental building near the Lorimer L train stop, according to a listing posted on NYC Housing Connect. According to developer Slate Property Group, the building is a conversion of a former warehouse, with a total of 50 units.
There are a mix of studios and one-bedrooms available in the lottery for renters with annual household incomes between $30,446 and $43,500, depending on apartment and family size. You can see a full list of apartment options, prices, and income requirements below (click to enlarge):
Building amenities include a part-time doorman, a tenant lounge, and a roof deck, and it appears that the affordable component is being managed by affordable housing organization the St. Nick's Alliance.
As usual with this type of listing, preference for half of the affordable units will be given to current area residents, which in this case means residents of Brooklyn's Community Board 1. If you're interested and think you qualify, you can create a profile and apply online via NYC Housing Connect, or request a paper application by sending a self-addressed envelope to 66 Ainslie LLC, c/o St. Nicks Alliance, Jennings Hall, 260 Powers Street, Brooklyn, NY 11211. (Don't apply more than once, or you could be disqualified.)
The deadline for applications is May 11th.
