Should I Stay or Should I Go?

This week's big question: Should you stay in NYC or should you go?

Credit LCD Soundsystem for coming up with yet another quintessential NYC anthem (that doesn't feature Frank Sinatra or Jay-Z, anyway): "New York, I love you, but you're bringing me down," so the song goes, perfectly capturing what many New Yorkers feel about this fair city. Yes, it's vibrant, dynamic, singular. But it's also demanding and draining, of both energy and cash—and not just because the real estate is so expensive here. Which begs the question: Why put up with it? Should you even do so?

For this week's stories, we talked to New Yorkers who've found themselves asking these questions and wondering if they're here for good, or are ready for a new adventure outside of the five boroughs—and learned how they came to a decision. We offer neighborhood options within NYC for those looking to marry the best of the suburbs with the city, report the findings from last week's poll on where else city residents can see themselves living, and more.

We may not have the definitive answer to that one question—Should I stay or should I go?—but we promise a deep dive into the subject. Want to share your thoughts? Find us on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook and let us know your decision, and how you got there.
