Legally, New York bedrooms have to include a window to be considered legit, but let's just say that what you actually get is... varied. Not so if you snap up one of these (admittedly pricey) apartments, which offer views of the skyline and the waterfront from the luxury of your own bed.
An (extremely expensive) option on the West Side: this $21.5 million Chelsea condo, with views of either the city, the Hudson, or both, in every room.

One for the maximalists: a $68 million Columbus Circle condo with views in all four directions, floor-to-ceiling windows, and one helluva decorating scheme throughout.
The rest of this $19,000/month DUMBO condo looks out onto the waterfront, but in the bedroom, the view's a little more industrial.
If you rent this $20,000 Chelsea apartment, we assume you'd use the bedroom window to wave to the person in the other Chelsea condo with incredible views.
Alternately, this $23 million duplex condo nearby has a bedroom with views of the water, rather than the neighborhood.
The all-black-everything decorating scheme in this $40,000/month Central Park South apartment might not be for everyone, but the full views of the park wouldn't be an adjustment...
