Village Voice names 10 worst renters

Slumlords can breathe easy this week, as the Village Voice turns its investigatory eye on tenants for a change. Amid the fraud and fakery in today's 10 worst tenants list is the “Serial Evictee,” who never met a luxe apartment she didn’t like and couldn’t convince someone else to pay for, and the “Anti-Tenant Tenants’ Association,” run by a mother-daughter duo who embezzled $30k in rent money belonging to their low- to middle-income neighbors. “The Hoarder"--a category included among BrickUnderground's list of eight worst neighbors (see also: amateur gourmets, insecure rescue dogs and trust fund babies)--also makes an appearance on the list of people who've caused "serious misery" for neighbors and landlords alike.
