Ever wonder what it's like to spend your day in a paneled box shuttling wealthy New Yorkers from lobby to landing and back again?

Wonder no more.

Today BrickUnderground introduces Elevator Man, whose confessional column on manning the elevator in a tony Manhattan co-op is bound to push some buttons among residents and building workers alike.

Running every other Monday, Elevator Man will alternate with A Doorman Speaks (BrickUnderground's anonymous doorman), and complete Upstairs-Downstairs Mondays on BrickUnderground.

TodayElevator Man copes with a cloud of smug
