Sure, walk-ups and babies are not exactly a match made in heaven (especially given how heavy and clumsy some of the new $700-plus strollers can be).
Over on UrbanBaby, moms and moms-to-be say that it's not easy but is doable, up to the second or third floor, especially if you can leave the stroller downstairs (which some buildings do allow).
Pros:
This no-fee $3,500 one-bedroom Upper West Side apartment is being rented by the owner, and features a dining alcove. It’s 850 square feet, and, according to the listing, is located on 86th Street near Columbus Avenue.
The apartment’s in a pre-war elevator building, with a marble lobby, laundry in the building and a live-in super.
The lease is available for one or more years.
This $3,250 one-bedroom apartment, at 208 West 23rd Street (just off Seventh Avenue), is on the 8th floor of the historic Carteret building, next to the Chelsea Hotel. The building, which was once a hotel, has studios, 1- and 2-bedroom apartments.
This week, we go behind the negotiations of a Chelsea co-op studio, listed at $369,000 by Kevin Sadhnani at Eastpointe Properties Groupe. The buyer’s agent was Alejandro Beitler of MNS.
