This $3,395 one-bedroom is located in a recently redone pre-war building on 91st Street, near Broadway.
Pros: The renovations are new and appliances are high-end (each apartment has a washer/dryer). The building has a gym, sundeck, lounge (with a projector and a billiards table) and services like housekeeping and dry cleaning. Half a month's rent is being offered for free in addition to a $500 Amex gift card.
This $2,900 one-bedroom condo in Battery Park City comes furnished, which can be a plus or minus depending on your needs.
Pros: The furniture is modern and pretty generic (nothing offensive here). The building has an elevator, gym, live-in super, laundry in the building as well as a Virtual Doorman. Pets are allowed. Also, since it's a condo, the finishings and amenities are likely higher end than those in a rental.
This 600-square-foot, $1,900 one-bedroom on West 129th Street is a condo, so the amenities/finishes are better than your average rental.
Pros: The building has an elevator, individual storage spaces and a common garden. The apartment has hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances (the plastic is still on the brand-new fridge), an open kitchen and terraces.
