With a low price of $318,000, a recent renovation, and a separate sleeping alcove, this 575-square-foot studio, 579 West 215th St., #9D, in Inwood, should definitely be on your radar if you're apartment shopping.

The living area has large windows that overlook the river, nine-foot ceilings that bring an airiness to the space, and maple floors that lend a brightness to the room. There’s a lot of stuff in here at the moment, but space doesn’t appear overcrowded. As it’s currently staged, there’s enough room for a seating area by the window with a sectional and a TV stand, as well as a desk/office area.

Just off the living room is a sleeping alcove that looks to be on the small side, but, according to the listing, can apparently accommodate a full-sized bed. Most folks will love having a separate space in a studio to hit the hay, but it looks as though that alcove is against a pillar, which might annoy some folks, and make others feel claustrophobic, so be sure to spend some time there to decide how you feel about it.

On the other side of the alcove is a nook just large enough to fit a small dining table, so you won’t have to eat all your meals on the couch. Unless you want to, that is.

The light-colored kitchen is fine-looking, and has custom, white Shaker cabinets on both sides to maximize storage space, white Italian porcelain plank floors, white quartz countertops with gray veining, and a striking glass mosaic tile backsplash. There are also new, full-sized stainless steel appliances, including a fridge, dishwasher, and microwave, as well as a stainless steel sink with a gooseneck faucet.

The windowed bathroom is nice and simple with a new gray vanity, and a new recessed medicine cabinet. White tile on the walls and floors give the room a polished look, and a built-in hamper means you won’t have to waste precious floor space with a free-standing one.

The studio is located in a 10-story elevator co-op with a live-in super, on-site laundry, bike storage, and an underground parking garage. The pet-friendly building allows subletting, gifting, and co-purchasing on a case by case basis. Maintenance is $727 a month.
