A three-bedroom condo with views of Madison Square Park treetops

If you have the budget for views of Madison Square Park—and Shake Shack—consider this three-bedroom condo, listed by Town Residential for $6.35 million. The price tag is a bit above the neighborhood average, perhaps due to the development’s bona fides: the apartment is in the Grand Madison, a landmarked historic building constructed in 1906, and then known as the Brunswick Building. Previously used as a warehouse, hotel, and showroom, the property was converted to condos in 2004. Though its interiors have undergone extensive remodeling, the Grand Madison’s exterior maintains its elegant, turn-of-the-century look.

In the living room, four large, south-facing windows offer views onto the park and surrounding NoMad neighborhood. Dark hardwood floors extend into the open chef’s kitchen, updated with top of the line appliances, handsome cabinetry, and a stone countertop island.

The three bedrooms are all adjacent to each other, which could pose some challenges for privacy, but each has large custom closets allowing for ample storage space, as well as north-facing windows that overlook a Zen-style courtyard.

The master bedroom’s en suite bath has a double vanity, limestone soaking tub, and separate glass shower; the apartment includes an additional one-and-a-half baths not pictured in the listing.

The apartment also has a standard-issue washer and dryer, dishwasher, and central air, while building-wide perks include full-time doorman, concierge, and valet services. The apartment comes with its own storage space on the same floor, which perhaps helps justify the cost—plus, nearness to Eataly, Eleven Madison Park, and several subway lines doesn’t hurt.
