Greenwich Village has been in the news a lot lately with the recent confirmation from the state's appellate court that New York University's expansion plans can proceed. For those wanting to move in before all the construction starts up, here are for-sale apartments available for your viewing this weekend:

54 East 8th Street, Apartment 5D. This studio has two exposures — southern and eastern — with a live-in super, parking and a private common garden. Asking price: $395,000. Open house: Sunday, July 12, 11 am to 12 noon.

60 East 9th Street, Apartment 415. A bright alcove studio with four closets in a doorman co-op built in the early 1950s with a common garden and bike storage. Asking price: $589,000. Open house: Sunday, July 12, 1 pm to 3 pm.

101 West 12th Street, Apartment 3U. A co-op studio with a separate kitchen and four closets in a full-service building with a roof deck and bike storage. Asking price: $650,000. Open house: Sunday, July 12, 12 noon to 1:30 pm.

77 Bleecker Street, Apartment 1024. Yet another unit in Bleecker Court (see main photo and caption above) is opening its doors to apartment-hunters this weekend. (So is apartment 519.) This one's a one-bedroom with a sunken living room and 11-foot-ceilings. Asking price: $949,000. Sunday, July 12, 1 pm to 2:30 pm.
