A few more affordable housing options for renters: Applications just opened for spots in a Jamaica, Queens apartment building, with one-bedrooms as cheap as $693/month, per the building's listing on NYC Housing Connect.
According to the developer's website, the Arbor at Locust Manor (located at 169-30 Baisley Boulevard) is an entirely affordable eight-story development. Of the 53 available apartments, there are six $693/month one-bedrooms available; 25 $851/month one-bedrooms; five $842/month two-bedrooms; and 17 $1,031/month two-bedrooms in the building, open to applicants with household incomes ranging from $26,332 to $51,780, depending on apartment and family size.
