A $1,900 Crown Heights studio with a sleeping nook you've got to see

We're suckers for efficient design — especially in studios where a lack of space makes it crucial. That's one of the reasons we're digging this $1,900 Crown Heights studio at 851 Franklin Avenue, between President and Union.

The sleeping and closet area (shown above) are tucked away into a nook that looks oh-so-cozy (and dark —perfect for light sleepers/insomniacs). The whole apartment has that just-been-renovated feel, complete with a large, suburban-style fridge (with a freezer drawer!).

Note, the bathroom has only a (tiled) stand-up shower, so if baths are your main way of relaxing after a stressful day, you may want to look elsewhere.

Upscale touches like the Carrara marble bathroom floor and kitchen countertops explain why  the apartment is about $500 more than the median price for other studios in the neighborhood.

As for the building: It's four stories (and we'd assume a walk-up, though it's likely just one flight up given the apartment number), pets are allowed, there's a live-in super, communal laundry facilities,  a finished roof deck, storage units and bike storage. The doorman is virtual, though.
