If you live in East Harlem, Downtown Brooklyn, or along the Queens waterfront, you may be hailing green cabs all the time. If you don't, you're probably having a tough time finding one. DNAinfo reports that Boro Taxisas they're officially calledare still scarce in certain areas they're meant to service.

The program was launched in 2013 to make up for a dearth of yellow cabs in upper Manhattan and the outer boroughs, but it hasn't helped much in places like Red Hook and Jamaica, according to the site (which also has a handy map showing how often green cabs stop in certain neighborhoods). The neighborhoods with the fewest Boro Taxi pick-ups include Maspeth, Ozone Park, and Jamaica in Queens; and  Bay Ridge, East New York and Red Hook in Brooklyn, according to DNAinfo's analysis.
