'Strange Magic' star Alan Cumming casts a spell on the East Village

WHO: Alan Cumming plays the surly Bog King who has soured on love in the new animated film “Strange Magic." The film is set in a forest, where at least he has no real estate problems. If it were set in New York, he would be sharing a two-bedroom with ten people. Nothing magical about that.
WHERE: The Scottish born actor, who also stars in “The Good Wife,” lives in the East Village, where the median rent is $3,150 a month and the median sales price is $1.65 million, according to StreetEasy.
