It’s hard to resist an apartment on the convenient and neighborhoody Upper West Side, especially when it’s under a mil. And this week, StreetEasy’s Most Wanted -- the 10 sales listings StreetEasy users saved more often than any others -- features several West Side apartments that ring in under $700k.

On 81st between Amsterdam Avenue and Broadway, a newly renovated one-bedroom condo is going for $649k (pictured). The unit has a windowed bath and kitchen, which features new cabinetry, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The prewar apartment, located on the second floor in a full-service building, also has detailed wood moldings and hardwood floors.

For sale by the sponsor, a $695k two-bedroom condo on the corner of West End Avenue and 89th Street has been renovated and features updated lighting. There’s also a new marble bath with a Zuma soaking tub. The building has a central laundry room, but you likely won’t need it, since there’s also an in-unit W/D. The custom kitchen is complete with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. Caveat: It's on the ground floor.

A block away, another ground floor two-bedroom condo is going for $550k on West 88th between Amsterdam and Broadway. It's got relatively low monthlies (common charges $348, taxes $423). The prewar unit is near Central Park and the 1, 2, 3, B and C trains.

If you’d prefer to live downtown and on the East Side, but still want to pay less than $700k, check out a $496,935 one-bedroom loft condo on the corner of Madison and Jackson Streets on the Lower East Side. The loft lets in unobstructed light from all directions, and the living room has double height ceilings. The building has a gym and recreation facilities.
