When it comes to shopping around, who doesn’t look for price cuts? It’s no different in real estate, as we can see though this week’s Open House Scorecard -- the top 10 apartments StreetEasy users saved to their open house planners more than any others this weekend.
It features apartments whose prices have been slashed, as well as one apartment with two different prices, depending on how much space you purchase.
About five days ago, the price of a two-bedroom co-op on West 79th between Amsterdam and Columbus Avenues was reduced $124k to $1.475m. The prewar unit was recently renovated and features an eat-in kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite counters. Pied-a-terres are welcome.
The price of a $759k two-bedroom UWS co-op was recently reduced by $36k. The 18th-floor unit is located in full-service prewar co-op The Opera on Broadway between 76th and 77th Streets. The building has a new lobby and there’s laundry on every floor. Pets are allowed with board approval.
Over in Brooklyn, you can choose to buy a two-bedroom condo with a parking space in Boerum Hill for $549k, or you might want to increase your single-floor living space to approximately 1,550 square feet by buying-and-combining with a neighboring apartment that also has roof rights (combined asking price $1.084m). Either way, the space, located just off the corner of Smith and Butler Streets, is in move-in condition, has a balcony, renovated kitchen, through-wall a/c, and an in-unit W/D. Plus, there are low carrying charges, with common charges of $131.
