The StreetEasy Hot Dozen: 12 rentals that may or may not be available by the time you read this

The oppressive summer heat has lifted (for now), boots and jackets have started to replace summer dresses in store windows, and the pre-fall scramble for New York housing has begun. Below, the Streeteasy Hot Dozen rounds up the highest trafficked listings on the rental site, Streeteasy.com over the past week, as new students and new hires descend on the city and try to find a home.

The most popular of the bunch is an impressively converted $3,500/month 2-bedroom in Murray Hill. If you can make out the tiny photos on the post, you'll see each room has a big window and ample space. The views, roof deck and full-time doorman don't hurt either, which is probably why the listing's attracted over 1,200 clicks over the past seven days.

If you even want to consider it, better check it out before one of the hundreds of people who've been eying it makes a move. And if you're too late, try one of the other apartments below. If you find something you like that requires a guarantor, check the listing or ask to see if the landlord accepts Insurent, a simple solution from one of BrickUnderground's sponsors.
