Private swimming pools to cool off in the last days of summer

Labor Day may have come and gone but, technically speaking—and as this week’s heat wave more than confirms—the end of summer is still a couple of weeks away. If you have a hankering to spend the last sweltering days with your toes in the water, these homes—complete with their own private swimming pools—would do nicely.

With four terraces to choose from, there’s plenty of space to enjoy the great outdoors from this four-bedroom, five-bath penthouse condo at 18 Gramercy Park South (listed at $49.75 million), but if we were forced to choose just one, this sun deck with its own heated infinity pool would be our pick.

The terrace level of this seven-bedroom, nine-and-a-half-bath duplex condo at 50 Riverside Boulevard, on the market for $25.75 million, features 3,621 square feet of space that includes a 14.6-foot-by-28-foot private swimming pool—you, know, just like any regular NYC backyard might have.

Is there a better place to be on a sticky, humid mid-September morning than this private pool atop a four-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bath duplex penthouse condo at 290 West Street in Tribeca (and offered at $15 million)?

Perched on the roof of this 11-room (five bedrooms and seven baths) limestone townhouse at 362 East 69th Street (priced at $7.75 million) is a lovely deck with a BBQ and dining area (perfect for late summer grill fests) on one end, and a pool and lounge area on the other.
