The StreetEasy Hot Dozen: 12 rentals that may or may not be available by the time you read this

Though roommates can be a drag, roping in two extra people and going for a three-bedroom apartment can greatly increase your chances of getting a better place for less than you would pay to live alone.

These popuar three-bedroom apartments are on this week's Hot Dozen--the 12 apartments Streeteasy.com visitors clicked on most often over the past seven days.

A three-bedroom at 122 Norfolk Street and Rivington Street is listed at $2,700/month and is in the heart of the Lower East Side. The rooms are small and it's a 4th floor walk-up, but the relatively inexpensive price reflects that. Plus this feels made for a share.

A recently renovated three-bedroom apartment at 354 East 8th Street and Avenue C is listed at $4,000/month. Supposedly the apartment has a roof deck (though we're suspicious of the quality of it since there are no pictures) and the building has an elevator.

Our favorite (also a high-floor walk-up) is this three-bedroom, two bathroom apartment at 203 East 4th Street and Avenue A listed at $4,695/month. The apartment was recently and quite nicely renovated and now boasts new hardwood floors and stainless steel kitchen appliances and wall-mouned air-conditioning units. Plus, the apartment comes with its own private roof deck.
