No-Fee Apartment of the Week: $2,985 one-bedroom in Midtown East

Neighborhood-wise, this $2,985 one-bedroom at 150 East 44th Street is not for New Yorkers seeking serenity. But it is good for anyone who wants to be near Grand Central (to escape Midtown on weekends, or establish a handy pied a terre, perhaps).

Pros: The apartment is in a full-service building (doorman, elevator, gym, pool table), the kitchens and bathrooms are modern, it's near a hub of transportation. The building has a wrap-around sun-deck and a driving range.

Cons: This is a neighborhood that's packed during the week, and almost dead on the weekends. It also doesn't have a neighborhoody feel. At less than 500-square-feet, this is a pretty small space for the price.

No-Fee Apartment of the Week showcases an apartment that’s currently on the market and is being offered with no broker fee (otherwise known as the holy grail of New York City rentals).
