The Madison, a new rental building designed by the prolific Karl Fischer Architects, is located at 3692 Bedford Avenue in the Midwood neighborhood of Brooklyn. The building has a virtual doorman, a children's playroom, a roof deck, gym, parking and laundry on every floor. Apartments have individually controlled HVAC units, eco-friendly teak flooring, and kosher-adaptable kitchens. There are currently six units available: Two one-bedrooms for $2,200, and four two-bedrooms ranging from $2,450 to $2,550. Not a bad price for brand-new units, though the building is a half a mile from the nearest subway stop, where your options are limited to the B and the Q lines.

No-Fee Building of the Week is writer A. Ready's weekly independent selection of a no-fee rental building that she believes reflects good value given current market conditions. It is not an advertisement for the building, nor is it paid for by any company/website mentioned.
