If you change your mind a lot (or like the idea of renovating an apartment to suit your taste) you might consider one of the apartments featured in this week’s edition of StreetEasy’s Most Wanted -- the 10 sales listings StreetEasy users saved more often than any others -- many of which have flexible or convertible floor plans.

A $989k two-bedroom, one-bathroom condo on West 85th between Riverside Drive and West End Avenue has the potential to add a half bath to complement the already existing marble bath. South and east exposures offer natural light to the prewar unit, which features two balconies, a wood-burning fireplace, crown moldings and exposed brick. The kitchen has been gut renovated.

In Chelsea --  on West 17th between Eighth and Seventh Avenues -- a$1.65m two-bedroom loft condo has a flexible interior room off the master bedroom that can serve as a home office, nursery or walk-in closet. The unit also features 12’-plus terracotta barrel vaulted ceilings with reclaimed and hand hewn West Virginia oak beams throughout. There’s a vented W/D, and part-time doorman (8am-midnight). However, judging from the photos, we suspect it may be a bit view-challenged.

You’ll also find flexibility in a $1.85m three-bedroom postwar co-op on the corner of East 17th and Third Avenue, which can become a four-bedroom. The space is a combination of a corner two-bedroom and a one-bedroom apartment. With western and northern exposures, you’ll catch city views from every window.

On the Upper East Side, there’s a convertible $1.995m four-bedroom co-op on East 83rd between Lexington and Third Avenues. It’s also a combo of a two apartments, and can be converted into a three-bedroom with home office. The unit has three full baths and two wood-burning fireplaces, as well as an eat-in kitchen. The catch: A monthly maintenance of almost $5,000.
