In March, Claudia and her boyfriend, Esteban, were furloughed from their jobs because of coronavirus. The young couple had been planning on renewing their lease in July for their Kew Gardens rental—but they don’t see a future for themselves in New York City anymore. So they’re selling their furniture and trying to break their lease so they can move to Florida. Here’s their story.
