Apply to rent a Coney Island apartment starting at $759 a month

Applications are open for 52 newly constructed units at Surf Vets Place, 3003 West 21st St., in Coney Island, available via the city's housing lottery. The Brooklyn apartments have one-, two- and three-bedroom units set aside for people in income brackets from $27,395 to $72,600 for one to six people. The units are for households earning from 50 percent to 60 percent of the area median income.

Surf Vets Place is a post-war rental complex, less than a block from the boardwalk, with 135 apartments over nine stories. Finished in 2018, the building has elevators, a bike room, courtyard, fitness center, laundry room, computer lounge, party rooms, and a rooftop terrace.

There's a lobby attendant on duty 24/7 and the building has an on-site resident manager. Transit options include the F, N, D, and Q trains as well as the B82 bus service.
