Mark your calendar for 12 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18th for Brick Underground's first live Q&A, where you will get the opportunity to ask all your burning questions about your rights as a tenant in New York City.

We're hosting a special Zoom with tenant attorney Sam Himmelstein, a partner at Himmelstein, McConnell, Gribben & Joseph who represents residential and commercial tenants and tenant associations. He is also Brick Underground’s Ask a Renter’s Right Lawyer columnist (and a longtime Brick sponsor).

What you can find out

We get it: Renting in NYC can drive you up a wall sometimes (ok, most of the time) and when things go wrong it can be tough to know where to turn. For example: What do you do when your elevator is frequently out of order and your landlord is not responsive? Or how do you negotiate a lease renewal when your landlord wants to raise the rent? What if the landlord isn't providing services you're paying for or your building has been unexpectedly sold to a new owner?

Brick's goal is to make life easier for you—empowering you with what you need to know about your rights as a tenant and helping you meet your housing goals.

When to join us

We’re inviting you to join the conversation. Send us your questions ahead of time. You can also submit questions via social media or during the live event, which takes place 12 p.m. Tuesday, April 18th via Zoom. Sign up here.
