The bedroom gets a lot of light from the balcony.

Today we looked at the neighborhood secrets of Crown Heights, where housing is largely a mix of older low-rise, multi-family apartment buildings and a few impressive mansions. However, this rental apartment, 2288 Atlantic Ave., #B1, is in a recently developed building and has the perks of new construction. You also may be able to name your price.

This is a one bedroom (with an alcove set up as a second bedroom), and it is asking $2,233 with one month free and no broker’s fee. However, that may not be the rent you have to pay, as the listing notes: “No reasonable offer refused.”

The apartment has central air, which is not typically found in rentals. The kitchen is open to the living room and has new stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher.

There’s an alcove off the main living space, which is currently set up as a second bedroom, and could be used as a dining room or office.

A stacked washer and dryer are tucked into a closet near the bathroom.

The building is pet friendly and allows guarantors. It also has a roof deck, virtual doorman, package room, live-in super, gym, bike room, and parking garage.

Transportation options nearby include the C at Rockaway Avenue; the A, C, J, and L at Broadway Junction; and the Long Island Rail Road at the East New York station.
