80 Bay Street Landing #1L is over 2,000 square feet and asking $3,200 per month.

Gateway Arms Realty Corp/StreetEasy

This two-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bathroom duplex at 80 Bay Street Landing, #1L, has a kitchen island and countertop large enough to launch your own catering company or perhaps land a small aircraft (although management is not likely to approve of either venture). It is listed for $3,200 a month.

The apartment is in a 1982 luxury condo conversion, one of several former warehouses in a complex on the St. George waterfront.

The apartment is big, just over 2,000 square feet, with a cutout 20-foot concrete ceiling over the open dining area, which is book-ended by formidable columns. There’s garden access from the living room, and your parking spot is outside the garden so you can unload easily.

There’s a half bath on the first floor and the second floor has two bedrooms and the full bath.

There’s assigned and guest parking, two tennis courts, two barbecue areas, a children’s playground, a basketball court, a dog run, and, for a $150 annual fee, a health club.

This is a 24-hour doorman building with a gated entry on the waterfront promenade. The apartment requires board approval and there is a $500 reimbursed move-in fee and a $100 application fee. Heat, hot water, and gas are included. Pets are permitted with an additional deposit.

It's a 15 minute walk to the Staten Island Ferry.
